FaceApp - despite the controversy there's a reason it is popular!

FaceApp is high in the ranks of then Google Play store at the moment, and despite the controversies of white-washing, there's a reason. In short, it's really fun, simple to use and an all round well-designed app that has some great filters and effects.
The purpose of the app is simple - simply load it up, take a photo, play with a few dials and then before you know it there's your desired outcome - whether it be a new gender, a younger self, an older self - etc. You name it - FaceApp can do it.
Check it out today, it's one of those apps well worth downloading and spending a few minutes with!

Age of Zombies

Today's app of the day is Age of Zombies.

Age of Zombies is a great game for android devices, featuring great graphics, addictive game-play and an intuitive control scheme. In short, Age of Zombies is a top down game of zombie survival, featuring levels that involve multiple points from which hordes of zombies spawn and chase your character.

In order to survive, you are armed with a varied arsenal of weaponry, including pistols, machine guns, grenades, sentry guns, chainsaws and more. The game starts off relatively easy, but quickly increases in difficulty. The game however never takes itself too seriously, and includes some quite amusing "cut scenes" and level design / boss fights that constantly changes. This keeps things feeling fresh.

Part of what makes Age of Zombies so great to play is the control scheme. Essentially, the touch screen operates as a dual analogue stick. Whereas other implementations of this often involve two static analogue sticks, in Age of Zombies, they appear wherever you place your fingers. This means that it impossible to have your fingers "stray" from the analogue circle, and makes controlling your on-screen character very easy.

In the words of the developer:
Barry Steakfries, guns, undead and a zombie T-Rex!
** NOTE - Samsung Galaxy Tabs 10.1 are currently not supported due to Samsung driver issues. We are currently working with Samsung to resolve this ASAP! **From Halfbrick, the creators of Fruit Ninja and Monster Dash comes their newest and biggest adventure yet! Lock and load through the history of time as a tough-as-nails commando named Barry Steakfries, who is looking at nothing more than to shoot some zombies and make it back in time for a hearty dinner!Xperia PLAY optimized

I managed to pick up a cop of Age of Zombies for 10cents in the 10billions download celebration a number of months ago. For 99 cents though, I still think Age of Zombies is a bargain and well worth the download.

Wish - shopping made fun - and easy - and cheap!

These days sites like Amazon or eBay make buying and selling online quick and easy. Unfortunately, sometimes the sheer breadth of products available (everything on earth!) makes it difficult to impulse buy or get the same experience one haves when wandering around a shop or past windows. Luckily, apps now exist to replicate that experience.

The best of the lot is Wish - which has the tagline 'shopping made fun' which could not be more true! When opening the app there are lots of categories to choose from, allowing you to pick the type of products you want to browse and going from there. Buying and checking out is only ever a few clicks away and if you are not careful you will very quickly load up on more products than you need!

I've launched sites that help out with buying cheap gadgets in the past, and it was heavily inspired by apps such as Wish which really allow someone to sit back and take pleasure in the shopping experience again! Download Wish now!

Cosmic Cow

Today's app of the day is Cosmic Cow.

"Endless" games are very in vogue at the moment, whether it be endless running, endless jumping or endless flapping, there are plenty of ways to get unlimited, and challenging gaming fixes. That doesn't mean that there aren't great new games being created in the genre, with Cosmic Cow being one such example.

In essence, Cosmic Cow combines two great styles of game play, one being a side scrolling endless-type game, and the other being the classic side scrolling space ship shooter, popularised in numerous incarnations on 8 and 16 bit consoles of decades past. As a "cosmic cow" (can't help but love it!), the player has to navigate through space, shooting or dodging asteroids and other attacking spaceships. The cow can collect a variety of objects to earn points - though mainly interesting foods that just happen to be floating through space. As points are accumulated, the player can also collect coins to spend on a v…
