The first app for the day is Temple Run.
Temple Run started off as a smash hit on iOS, but it has now migrated to Android with a quality port. The concept of Temple Run is simple. In short, your character has to out-run some Evil Demon Monkeys, through a temple, collecting coins or gems along the way. You turn by swiping left and right, and jump and slide by swiping up and down.
The concept is simple, but the gameplay is great. More than any other game I have played in a long time it features that "just one more go" addicitive-ness that makes it very difficult to switch off. On top of that, the graphics are very functional (I wouldn't say great, but they get the job done), and as you progress the gameplay deepens allowing you to use your coins to buy power-ups.
All in all, this would have to be one of the best Android games (well at least the most addicting) at the moment. Give it go.

Brain Age Test
The second app for the day is Brain Age Test
Brain Age Test is a great simple app to fill in a couple of seconds if you are bored and want to get competitive with your friends. To play, you have to remember the order of some coloured balls from lowest to highest, then try to push the balls in that order after only a short time to memorise the order.
It might not make much sense in words, but in practice it works well. Give it a go, you might be surprised who does well and who doesn't!
