Guess the Year (available in both a free and paid version) is an interesting new game by Joe Banks Apps. The concept behind the game couldn't be simpler - you simply get given a historical event, with your challenge being to choose the year the event occurred from four possible options.
Although the concept is simple, the execution is great, providing a unique gaming experience that will test your intellect. To mix things up, a general category of events can be chosen, or it can be specified down to categories such as "movie", "music" or "sport". I particularly liked seeing a "Video games" category!
In addition to categories of game play, there are also a variety of modes, which best of all, include from 2 to 4 person multi-player. It is good to see a developer providing competitive multi-player expediences on devices for more than two players. There is also a survival mode, which involves attempting to answer as many questions as possible in a limited period of time, with a limited amount of lives.
All in all, Guess the Year is a great app that should keep not only you entertained, but will also give you something to entertaining to do on bus trips with mates! Check it out.
