FaceApp - despite the controversy there's a reason it is popular!

FaceApp is high in the ranks of then Google Play store at the moment, and despite the controversies of white-washing, there's a reason. In short, it's really fun, simple to use and an all round well-designed app that has some great filters and effects.
The purpose of the app is simple - simply load it up, take a photo, play with a few dials and then before you know it there's your desired outcome - whether it be a new gender, a younger self, an older self - etc. You name it - FaceApp can do it.
Check it out today, it's one of those apps well worth downloading and spending a few minutes with!

Plants vs. Zombies

Today's app of the day is Plants vs. Zombies.

What started as a PC Classic by Pop Cap games, has now (well, for some time now) made it was onto the Android platform. Plant's vs. Zombies involves defending a garden against incoming hordes of zombies. It is essentially a tower defense game, but operates with zombies approaching parallel lines that can not change direction vs. the easily movable (through placing towers in their way) hordes of tradition tower defense games.

Thew result is incredibly addictive, with plenty of upgrades to keep you playing round after round. All different plant varieties have different capabilities, but the variety of zombies is equally as great, keeping the game fresh and challenging.

The controls, graphics and sounds are all great. Trust me, after no time at all you will be hooked - this could be recommended more strongly!

In the words of the developers:

Stem a zombie attack on your Android!
Get ready to soil your plants in the hit PopCap® game! A mob of fun-loving zombies is about to invade your home, and your only defense is an arsenal of 49 zombie-zapping plants. Use peashooters, wall-nuts, cherry bombs and more to slow down, confuse, weaken and mulchify 26 types of zombies before they can reach your front door.
Each zombie has its own special skills, so you’ll need to think fast and plant faster to combat them all. But be careful how you use your limited supply of greens and seeds… as you battle the fun-dead, obstacles like a setting sun, creeping fog and a swimming pool add to the challenge. The fun never dies!

Wish - shopping made fun - and easy - and cheap!

These days sites like Amazon or eBay make buying and selling online quick and easy. Unfortunately, sometimes the sheer breadth of products available (everything on earth!) makes it difficult to impulse buy or get the same experience one haves when wandering around a shop or past windows. Luckily, apps now exist to replicate that experience.

The best of the lot is Wish - which has the tagline 'shopping made fun' which could not be more true! When opening the app there are lots of categories to choose from, allowing you to pick the type of products you want to browse and going from there. Buying and checking out is only ever a few clicks away and if you are not careful you will very quickly load up on more products than you need!

I've launched sites that help out with buying cheap gadgets in the past, and it was heavily inspired by apps such as Wish which really allow someone to sit back and take pleasure in the shopping experience again! Download Wish now!

Cosmic Cow

Today's app of the day is Cosmic Cow.

"Endless" games are very in vogue at the moment, whether it be endless running, endless jumping or endless flapping, there are plenty of ways to get unlimited, and challenging gaming fixes. That doesn't mean that there aren't great new games being created in the genre, with Cosmic Cow being one such example.

In essence, Cosmic Cow combines two great styles of game play, one being a side scrolling endless-type game, and the other being the classic side scrolling space ship shooter, popularised in numerous incarnations on 8 and 16 bit consoles of decades past. As a "cosmic cow" (can't help but love it!), the player has to navigate through space, shooting or dodging asteroids and other attacking spaceships. The cow can collect a variety of objects to earn points - though mainly interesting foods that just happen to be floating through space. As points are accumulated, the player can also collect coins to spend on a v…
