I think the best way to describe Swing Shot would be as follows - A comnbination of Angry Birds and Worms, in that the basic game mechanic involves launching (sling shot style) projectiles at an opponent's 'fort', but that after every shot the opponent gets to launch back and attack your fort. The last 'fort' standing wins.
And that's pretty much all you need to know. Your shots can be powered up by launching through various power up boxes, and the types of opponents / forts you have to destroy increase in strength and difficulty as the game progresses. The gameplay is excellent, I suck a good hour or so into this immediately on purchase and will probably go back for another round next time i'm on the couch.
The graphics and level progression are exactly what is to be expected in a game of this variety, and despite micro-transactions being available, they are not overbearing or incredibly necesary if you have the time to persevere through difficult stages.
All in all, a great game worthy of the download.
