The gameplay behind Epidemic X is simple, but as the game progresses quickly obtains greater depth. In short, a virus has been unleashed on the planet. Your job is to cultivate that virus so that it spreads as quickly as possible and eliminates the human race.
You undertake this 'cultivation' by purchasing upgrades to your virus. Currency is earned as the number of infected and dead increase. The upgrades start off simple (the ability to make the disease airborne, waterborne or spreadable by animals, the ability to add common symptoms, and the ability to increase the virus's 'like' of humidity, heat and cold), but as the game progresses and your currency increases you can add to the list of symptoms and the speed at which the virus spreads.
What starts off as a simple virus that causes nausea will, in time, have the unsuspecting inhabitants of earth in seizures and comas. Sound's all quite morbid, but it is a surprisingly fun game to play! All in all, this makes for a great mobile game, well worth checking out!
