With Halloween fast approaching, there has never been a better time to learn about the 1000's haunted locations scattered all over the USA. No matter where in the States you call home, there will no doubt be something paranormal closer occurring closer than you may think.
With over 1000 haunted locations captured in Ghost Guide USA, plus over 900 high quality images of the haunted locations, there is hours of reading to be had on your phone or tablet. Importantly, if you have had any first hand experiences of the haunted locations, you can leave your own comments and stories, or email the developers if there are any locations that have been missed.
Once Ghost Guide USA is booted up, you will be presented an option to view the haunted locations either on a Map (which features fantastic Google Maps / location services integration), or as a list. One of the best things I like about this app is that the first time it is used, it automatically downloads all the data required for the app to work offline in the future. This is great if you are out and about and don't want to wait for information to download. Since the app has such a vast amount of data, be patient the first time it is booted up.You will see the updating icon in your notifications bar. Best of all, once it is done - all the application information will be at your fingertips. I honestly wish more apps included this functionality!
Anyway, once you start exploring this app, the vast amount of information will truly blow you away. When viewed in list form, you can scroll for what seems an eternity looking at images and reading about all the haunted sites the developers could find. The images are also great, giving you a real sense of the locations you are reading about.
Given the size of the list, it includes some handy functionality / sorting options to make viewing easier. These include sorting by rating, distance (sure to be a favorite during Halloween!), alphabetical order or by State / City. As I have earlier stated, I am sure most people will learn of a few sites close by that they were not previously aware of!
All in all, Ghost Guide USA is a great Android App, and will sure be a hit this Halloween - tell your friends!

The burial ground of this Episcopal Church is haunted by the headless ghost of English actor George Frederick Cooke. Cooke died in September 1811 and was buried headless after donating his head to science to pay for doctor's bills, and his skull was used in numerous productions of Hamlet.
