With Halloween fast approaching, now is a great time to check out put
some new Halloween apps on your Android device. If you are preparing your house
for a Halloween party, preparing a great costume, or heading out trick or
treating - this is the perfect app to
add some great ambience to your theme.
Simply turn on your phone and place it into the corner of a room (or
hook it up to a stereo) and, ScareCauldron can be left unattended for hours
(subject to your phones battery life) playing scary sounds.
There are a variety of sounds, including general background ambience,
but also one off scary sounds. Turn off the background ambience, and you will
quickly have one off effects making your friends jump! If this isn’t enough -
you can also give Haunt Mode and Mixing Mode a try.
In Mixing Mode (which really needs to be played with headphones or a
surround sound home stereo), you drag ingredients around a screen, which causes
the haunted sound effect to rotate through your speaker system – it’s a really
cool effect. You can then drop a variety of ingredients into your cauldron and
press a ‘skullometer” to hear and see the pot boil over with your sound
effects.
In Haunt Mode, you can put the phone in your pocket and leave it
running whilst you then continue to undertake your trick or treating (or other
activities for the older of us reading).
All in all, if you are great app to give your Halloween costume or
party that little something ‘extra’, then check out ScareCauldron.
In the words of the developers:
Halloween spooky sounds you mix yourself!
Also, a must-have Halloween app that plays burst of spooky sounds all by itself to make your house a haunted house. This app can be left unattended for hours* and will keep making scary sounds.
Leave this app running to make scary sounds on its own so that you can make any room or porch haunted! The background sounds can be turned off to make the scary sounds even more surprising. Hook your phone up to your outdoor speakers or a megaphone if you’ve got one to keep your phone extra safe and the visitors to your doorstep extra frightened.
This app is haunted! In HAUNT mode someone (or something) might give you a haunted helping hand! With HAUNT mode you can leave ScareCauldron running in your costume while you hold a flashlight so you are both seen and heard!
This is also a casual sound mixing game where you drag each picture of a scary sound to the pot and hear it play.
In MIXING mode you keep mixing as many sounds into the pot as you would like, then tap the skullmometer to make the cauldron boil over with the sounds you mixed yourself!
These scares are in surround sound! As you drag a scare around the rim of the pot you will hear the sound move around your head! (This trick requires headphones or earbuds.) Drop the sound into the pot so it is mixed in for later or drop it on the floor.
With your speakerphone and MIXING mode you can drag the “Trick or Treat… Thank You” sound so it plays out loud, letting you keep knocking on doors with a mouth full of candy!
This game is FREE and also offers a paid upgrade to get even more scary sounds.
*You might want your phone to be plugged into power if you’re going to leave the speakerphone running for hours. It’s not us, man, it’s true of any speakerphone use.
