FaceApp - despite the controversy there's a reason it is popular!

FaceApp is high in the ranks of then Google Play store at the moment, and despite the controversies of white-washing, there's a reason. In short, it's really fun, simple to use and an all round well-designed app that has some great filters and effects.
The purpose of the app is simple - simply load it up, take a photo, play with a few dials and then before you know it there's your desired outcome - whether it be a new gender, a younger self, an older self - etc. You name it - FaceApp can do it.
Check it out today, it's one of those apps well worth downloading and spending a few minutes with!

Words Builder

Today's app of the day is Words Builder.

If you are a fan of puzzle games, then you should not go past Word Builder. From the Screenshots below, you could be mistaken that this is another 'find a word' or 'scramble with friends' clone, but that  could not be further from the truth.

Instead, Words Builder is a challenging yet enjoyable combination of scrabble and bejeweled. Each turn contains two steps. On the first step the player can (up to three times) swap letters with neighboring letters. This is achieved by tapping on a first letter and then tap on a second one. On the second step players can select any correct word by tapping consequentially on the letters which touch each other in horizontal or vertical lines. After that, the player simply taps on green OK button for word's submission.

Players have a time limit to find a certain number of words, with the submission of correct words adding to the players time. Although this may sound relatively straightforw…

King of Math

Today's app of the day is King of Math.

King of Math is an excellent Android app with one simple goal - to make maths fun!

Whilst this sounds like a lofty task, the developer has grasped the challenge with both hands and created a maths based trainer that can be played like a game. Released only a matter of weeks ago, the application is  already in the 10's of thousands of downloads, with close to 400 five star reviews!

So why have so many people jumped on board and embraced King of Math? In my opinion it is because of the cleanly designed interface, the simple to navigate menus, the large language base (8 supported languages), but most importantly, the gameplay.

As can be seen from the screenshots below, King of Maths works users through a variety of chapters or challenges in which they are asked progressively difficult questions. Users accumulate a score based on their responses and are given a star rating out of three (AKA Angry Birds) for their performance.

Pocket Image Search Pro

Today's app of the day is Pocket Image Search Pro.
I know that when I use my Android devices, situations often arise when I quickly want to undertake a quick image or video search on google, bing or yahoo. It is normally a relatively straight forward process, but inevitably involves a few annoying steps, such as changing the search tab from "web" to "image" or "videos".
To simplify this process, developer Pocketsol has released Pocket Image Search Pro. The application is not an 'app' as such, but instead installs a convenient widget to allow for the quick search of an image or video directly from the home screen of your device.
Search options can be easily configured, allowing you to search for images over a certain resolution with ease. I found this function to be particularly useful for doing a search to find new wallpapers for my device. All that was required was the simply click of a button and before I knew it only high quality pics were ava…
