FaceApp - despite the controversy there's a reason it is popular!

FaceApp is high in the ranks of then Google Play store at the moment, and despite the controversies of white-washing, there's a reason. In short, it's really fun, simple to use and an all round well-designed app that has some great filters and effects.
The purpose of the app is simple - simply load it up, take a photo, play with a few dials and then before you know it there's your desired outcome - whether it be a new gender, a younger self, an older self - etc. You name it - FaceApp can do it.
Check it out today, it's one of those apps well worth downloading and spending a few minutes with!

AudioZest 3D Music Player

Today's app of the day is AudioZest 3D Music Player

AudioZest 3D Music Player is a fantastic new option for those who like to listen to music on their Android device (which is pretty much everyone right?) Now, there are plenty of music players available on Google Play, so to stand out in the crowded market place an app needs something that sets it apart from the competition. For AudioZest, that killer function is the equalizer.

Most music apps feature some basic configurations (or none at all) when it comes to equalization  but AudioZest really pulls the music out of your headphones and manipulates them in such a way that breathes a whole new set of life into them. They really come alive. This is most apparent simply by tapping the "3D" and the "Equalizer" buttons on and off at the top right hand corner of the screen. The differences are apparent immediately. Once you have listened to a few songs with these modes enabled it is really had to go back to a standard music player, as the songs feel devoid of life in comparison!

The 3D mode is particularly cool, as it allows the listener to drag a virtual speakers around a 3D room. The difference in sound it makes is really impressive, with it possible to make it sound like the speakers are directly in front of you, behind, spread out evenly  etc. Hows the developers have managed to make this possible from a simple set of headphone speakers is beyond me.

These features aside, AudioZest is a fully fledged music player, with the capability to browse your collection in a variety of manners, make playlists, pause, fast forward, repeat, shuffle, etc. The interface is clean and the app runs incredibly smoothly. All in all, this is strongly recommended for almost all Android users - an excellent app!

In the words of the Developer:

3D Sound and the coolest Equalizer of any app.
Music is made for listening. Most music is made for listening with speakers. We used to put speakers at least a little bit away from us, in front of us, where a performer would be. When we listen to music with headphones the music still comes from between the speakers - but between headphone speakers is inside your head! AudioZest grabs the music and pulls it out of your head. We put the sound back where the artist intended it, where studio monitors or speakers should be, outside your head.
How do we do this? AudioZest is the showcase app for the AudioCauldron Headphone Engine, a sound processor that has the same effect on sound as speakers, air, and your ears, thus making the sound seem like it comes from speakers. Take any music from your music library on your device and make it sound like you are enjoying your music in your home theater. This works for every piece of stereo music in your library, it does not require special recordings. In fact, we are removing the changes that occurred when the music is enjoyed with headphones instead of studio monitors.
The 3D settings screen allows you to adjust where the virtual speakers are in a virtual room all around you. Start with the speakers 30 degrees left and right of center in the standard surround sound configuration. Pull the speakers in from the standard 30 degrees used for music to 22.5 degrees used for movies at cinema. You can place the speaker at any angle, even behind you. Plus, the sound is not limited to a disc. Move the speakers around you and place the sound anywhere in a 3D hemisphere, including overhead speakers. Place the sound directly over your head for a Voice of God effect. The 3D Icon is also an on/off button that allows you to turn the effect on and off for an A/B test.
All of the usual media player features are supported, including sorting by Artist, Title, Genre, and Playlist. Use a long tap (hold down) an item to choose to play it immediately or add it to the queue. Go the the Playback menu to remove songs from the queue or empty the queue. This app is also a demonstration for Bit Cauldron's AudioCauldron Engines, which are available for incorporation into other software, products, and apps.
Discover your music library again with the AudioZest 3D Sound Player.

Wish - shopping made fun - and easy - and cheap!

These days sites like Amazon or eBay make buying and selling online quick and easy. Unfortunately, sometimes the sheer breadth of products available (everything on earth!) makes it difficult to impulse buy or get the same experience one haves when wandering around a shop or past windows. Luckily, apps now exist to replicate that experience.

The best of the lot is Wish - which has the tagline 'shopping made fun' which could not be more true! When opening the app there are lots of categories to choose from, allowing you to pick the type of products you want to browse and going from there. Buying and checking out is only ever a few clicks away and if you are not careful you will very quickly load up on more products than you need!

I've launched sites that help out with buying cheap gadgets in the past, and it was heavily inspired by apps such as Wish which really allow someone to sit back and take pleasure in the shopping experience again! Download Wish now!

Cosmic Cow

Today's app of the day is Cosmic Cow.

"Endless" games are very in vogue at the moment, whether it be endless running, endless jumping or endless flapping, there are plenty of ways to get unlimited, and challenging gaming fixes. That doesn't mean that there aren't great new games being created in the genre, with Cosmic Cow being one such example.

In essence, Cosmic Cow combines two great styles of game play, one being a side scrolling endless-type game, and the other being the classic side scrolling space ship shooter, popularised in numerous incarnations on 8 and 16 bit consoles of decades past. As a "cosmic cow" (can't help but love it!), the player has to navigate through space, shooting or dodging asteroids and other attacking spaceships. The cow can collect a variety of objects to earn points - though mainly interesting foods that just happen to be floating through space. As points are accumulated, the player can also collect coins to spend on a v…
