ShareOn Audio - Music Player

Today's app of the day is the ShareOn Audio - Music Player.

If you are anything like me, you have a lot of music on your PC or Mac, and it is primarily in MP3 format. In fact, I have far more music than I can currently store on my phone. However, with my phone now being my primary stereo (through both Bluetooth and wired speakers amongst my house), I have for a long time been looking for a convenient way to stream the music from my PC onto my phone.

After trying a number of solutions I eventually discovered ShareOn and since then have not considered anything else as a viable streaming solution - it short it just works, and it does so flawlessly. The set up is simple - all you need to do is install a small application on your PC. After some simple configuration (trust me - anyone could do it), all the media on your PC will be instantly available on your phone, utilising your homes wi-fi connection. The quality was great and I had absolutely no problems with lag - even when other memb…

Scientific Camera

Today's app of the day is Scientific Camera.

Photography on mobile devices has advanced in leaps and bounds in recent years, with android devices now packing sensors and MP counts that rival that of point and click competitors. One thing that most phones have yet to fully embrace however is a lens based zooming system, with most mobiles featuring only a fixed lens.
This is of course incredibly frustrating, as zooming is often essential for framing the perfect shot, and cropping afterwards is frustrating when you are on the go. It is in these situations that digital zoom is a great solution, and Scientific Camera looks has embraced that functionality and taken it to the next level. When  hardware zoom runs out, Scientific Camera can still take you in 50 times closer (or 80 times on the free version) - allowing you to not only use the functionality to take some great shots, but also to use your phone as a magnifying glass or telescope!
At it's core, Scientific Camera is a fully fun…

Today's app of the day is Scientific Camera.

There are plenty of times when using a smart phone camera that you want to be able to zoom in just that little bit further. Of course, optical zoom can be good if you have a phone that supports it, but digital zoom is usually your best bet for zoom on a mobile device.

Belt.io - your Clipboard in the cloud

Today's app of the day is Belt.io.
It has been a while since I gave Droid App of the Day some love, but I am now back ready to review great new android apps far more frequently! Hell - I might even try to live up to the name of my site and do a review a day!
To get things started, I am featuring Belt.io. Belt.io is a little known app that has quickly became one of the most used on my device. In short, is is clipboard but in the cloud. It allows you to store large lists of different text, then with a single click copy them for use in other applications. It is great for bloggers like myself, who am constantly replying to potential advertisers - it allows me to use standard works for similar enquiries then just top and tail emails with specifics.
Other than great, simply functionality, Belt.io looks fantastic. For an app with only 10,000 installs, it has the sophistication of a far more mature app. Additionally, it is available on the net as well, making your text available for copy and…
