FaceApp - despite the controversy there's a reason it is popular!

FaceApp is high in the ranks of then Google Play store at the moment, and despite the controversies of white-washing, there's a reason. In short, it's really fun, simple to use and an all round well-designed app that has some great filters and effects.
The purpose of the app is simple - simply load it up, take a photo, play with a few dials and then before you know it there's your desired outcome - whether it be a new gender, a younger self, an older self - etc. You name it - FaceApp can do it.
Check it out today, it's one of those apps well worth downloading and spending a few minutes with! - your Clipboard in the cloud

Today's app of the day is

It has been a while since I gave Droid App of the Day some love, but I am now back ready to review great new android apps far more frequently! Hell - I might even try to live up to the name of my site and do a review a day!

To get things started, I am featuring is a little known app that has quickly became one of the most used on my device. In short, is is clipboard but in the cloud. It allows you to store large lists of different text, then with a single click copy them for use in other applications. It is great for bloggers like myself, who am constantly replying to potential advertisers - it allows me to use standard works for similar enquiries then just top and tail emails with specifics.

Other than great, simply functionality, looks fantastic. For an app with only 10,000 installs, it has the sophistication of a far more mature app. Additionally, it is available on the net as well, making your text available for copy and pasting regardless of where you are accessing the service. also has a share with friends functionality. I will admit I have not tested this feature as I do not have any friends who use the app, but from the sound of it in the app description, it sounds very useful. All in all, a great android app. Check it out. - screenshot - screenshot - screenshot - screenshot - screenshot - screenshot - screenshot - screenshot - screenshot thumbnail

Wish - shopping made fun - and easy - and cheap!

These days sites like Amazon or eBay make buying and selling online quick and easy. Unfortunately, sometimes the sheer breadth of products available (everything on earth!) makes it difficult to impulse buy or get the same experience one haves when wandering around a shop or past windows. Luckily, apps now exist to replicate that experience.

The best of the lot is Wish - which has the tagline 'shopping made fun' which could not be more true! When opening the app there are lots of categories to choose from, allowing you to pick the type of products you want to browse and going from there. Buying and checking out is only ever a few clicks away and if you are not careful you will very quickly load up on more products than you need!

I've launched sites that help out with buying cheap gadgets in the past, and it was heavily inspired by apps such as Wish which really allow someone to sit back and take pleasure in the shopping experience again! Download Wish now!

Cosmic Cow

Today's app of the day is Cosmic Cow.

"Endless" games are very in vogue at the moment, whether it be endless running, endless jumping or endless flapping, there are plenty of ways to get unlimited, and challenging gaming fixes. That doesn't mean that there aren't great new games being created in the genre, with Cosmic Cow being one such example.

In essence, Cosmic Cow combines two great styles of game play, one being a side scrolling endless-type game, and the other being the classic side scrolling space ship shooter, popularised in numerous incarnations on 8 and 16 bit consoles of decades past. As a "cosmic cow" (can't help but love it!), the player has to navigate through space, shooting or dodging asteroids and other attacking spaceships. The cow can collect a variety of objects to earn points - though mainly interesting foods that just happen to be floating through space. As points are accumulated, the player can also collect coins to spend on a v…
