Microsoft is actually a great Android developer - 'To-Do' is another reason why!

It may seem suprising to some, but Microsoft is actually a fantastic Android developer. In fact, I'd go as far to saythat their app offerings for Android are far superior to than their offerings for the Windows App store. For starters the full suite of Microsoft Office apps are great, as is one drive and one note, and the Arrow App Launcher is actually one of the best custom android skins available (seriously - check it out!).

To round this out, over the last few days Microsoft has released 'To-Do' which as you've guessed it - is a to-do list. It really could not be simpler - the app allows the creation of lists and then as part of each list allows tasks and items to be added.

The design is simple and clean, and a nice move away from the boxy interface design that still dominates some of the earlier Windows apps for android. It's fast, lightweight, cloud based (of course) and has a widget - so there is not much more you could ask for!

Of course there is lots of co…

Sport Tagger Player Analysis

Today's app of the day is Sport Tagger Player Analysis.

For those who play a lot of football, coach football teams, or are big fans of fantasy football, it is a well known facts that keeping track of performance through statistics is essential. In the past this has been complex and cumbersome -  but Sport Tagger Player Analysis aims to make this a more straight forward process through a great new android app, available now on Google Play.

The goal of the app is essentially to make player analysis better and easier than it has ever been before. Once starting up the app player names can easily be entered and from there they can be tagged whilst watching either a live game or something on the television. Once tagged, you can rate the certain task they just performed (passing, etc), recording performance in a quick and intuitive way. In addition to the simple tagging function there is also a great ability to record notes throughout a game, or take notes - perfect for the coach or analyst who has 'brainwaves' in the middle of a critical moment of the game.

Other than the functionality (of which I have only briefly touched on), the actual app design is great with an intuitive interface, no loading times and responsive menus. This great experience, on top of a solid technical platform makes Sport Tagger Player Analysis a fantastic android app. Check it out!

In the words of the developer:

The Sport Tagger app allows team coaches, managers, scouts and club statisticians to record players stats for the various skills that he/she perform during a game.
This simple to use app has three main stages;
Stage 1. Enter your team and player details
Stage 2. Enter the match details and tag the players either at a live game or from recorded media.
Stage 3. View, analyse and share your stats with others.

Sport Tagger gives you more information about a players skill level.
It just doesn't give you complete or incomplete passes stat, shots on target or off target stat etc.
With Sport Tagger you award points for each skill with a few taps on the screen. This gives a much more detailed picture of
a players skill level. For example, a player may be good at short/medium passing but may need work on long passing.
The app covers all skills including defending, dribbling, passing, shooting and scoring.

Other App Features include:
- Game overview Snapshot which can be used to highlight good or bad positioning.
- Note pad to type ideas during the match.
- Audio recording facility.

So whether you are a team coach, manager, scout, friend or fan, Sport Tagger will give you the information needed to help improve your players skill level.

Wish - shopping made fun - and easy - and cheap!

These days sites like Amazon or eBay make buying and selling online quick and easy. Unfortunately, sometimes the sheer breadth of products available (everything on earth!) makes it difficult to impulse buy or get the same experience one haves when wandering around a shop or past windows. Luckily, apps now exist to replicate that experience.

The best of the lot is Wish - which has the tagline 'shopping made fun' which could not be more true! When opening the app there are lots of categories to choose from, allowing you to pick the type of products you want to browse and going from there. Buying and checking out is only ever a few clicks away and if you are not careful you will very quickly load up on more products than you need!

I've launched sites that help out with buying cheap gadgets in the past, and it was heavily inspired by apps such as Wish which really allow someone to sit back and take pleasure in the shopping experience again! Download Wish now!

Hearthstone - better late than never - the best android card game!

I'll cut to it - Hearthstone is one of the best games you can get for your Android device - in fact, I am sure that plenty of people would argue it is one of the best games you can get at all - even on a PC! With that in mind, there's no reason not to jump in now and start experiencing this great offering from Blizzard.
The gameplay is turn based card strategy, think Magic the Gathering, but fare more simple. Every turn the number of points you have to spend on cards increases, so it means that games start quite evenly handed but can escalate quickly, especially when more experienced players know how to string together the abilities of their cards.
The objective is to eliminate the health of your opponent - and once you succeed the victory is entirely satisfying, with some truly fantastic sounds and effects that drive home the sense of achievement. This is of course a free to play game, and it is possible to spend real world money in the store but it is not required to have …
